L'expression sereine du visage, avec ses lèvres légèrement ourlées, son regard baissé et ses proportions harmonieuses, témoigne du raffinement artistique et de la profondeur spirituelle de la sculpture angkorienne. Faisant initialement partie d'une statue plus imposante conservée dans un temple, cette tête remplissait une double fonction, à la fois religieuse et architecturale, au sein des complexes sacrés d'Angkor.
