Cette remarquable boîte indienne ancienne à couvercle est un exemple frappant de l'artisanat de la fin du XIXe siècle. Construite en bois dur massif et recouverte de panneaux de laiton finement travaillés, la boîte présente un gaufrage complexe avec des motifs géométriques et pyramidaux. Conservant ses ferrures d'origine, y compris une serrure et un loquet fonctionnels, cette pièce incarne à la fois l'élégance esthétique et l'utilité pratique.
