Jordan Thomas
Head Curator, Relic & Rarity
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Jordan Thomas developed a passion for history, antiques, and cultural heritage at an early age. Introduced to the world of collecting by his father, he began attending auctions, estate sales, and antique shows at just ten years old, fostering a lifelong appreciation for historical artifacts and the stories they preserve.
Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Athabasca University and has dedicated more than twenty-five years to public service with the Government of Canada. Throughout his career, he cultivated a reputation for professionalism, research, and meticulous attention to detail—qualities that continue to guide his work in the authentication, documentation, and stewardship of historical objects.
As Founder and Head Curator of Relic & Rarity, Jordan works alongside a dedicated team of researchers, specialists, and advisors to oversee every stage of the acquisition, authentication, and curation process. Drawing upon decades of hands-on collecting experience, extensive study, and ongoing research, he is committed to ensuring that every artifact offered by the gallery is genuine, ethically sourced, and historically significant.
Jordan has been accepted into the American Society of Appraisers, the Appraisers Association of America, and the International Society of Appraisers. He is also a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM Canada), the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA), and the Ontario Historical Society. In addition, he serves on various boards and committees dedicated to heritage preservation, education, and community engagement.
Known for his commitment to ethical collecting, provenance research, and public education, Jordan believes that history should be accessible to everyone. Through Relic & Rarity, he continues to connect collectors, institutions, and history enthusiasts with authentic artifacts that preserve and celebrate humanity's shared past.
Jordan is committed to providing every collector with exceptional service, expert guidance, and complete confidence in every acquisition.
